Castillo Langemeier was born in the Philippines and grew up in Houston. She earned
her Bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University where she graduated
cum laude in 1986. She then earned her law degree from the University of Texas
at Austin in 1990, where she was an articles editor and publisher of a student
note in the American Journal of Criminal Law.
Ms. Langemeier has practiced
law since 1991 in California and Texas. Before joining the firm in 2002, her areas
of practice included employment litigation and immigration law.
She is
a member of the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of California, the U.S. District
Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern
District of California, and the Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits.
She is also a member of the Houston Hispanic Bar Association and the Houston Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce. She is a former Vice President for the Northern Region of
California of the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Ms. Langemeier
handles a wide variety of immigration matters, including
employment and family-based matters and naturalization. She assists
physicians, nurses, researchers and professors, executives, teachers,
and other professionals in obtaining work visas and permanent residence.
Ms. Langemeier has advised employers on worksite enforcement, conducted
I-9 audits and training workshops, and has spoken on immigration matters
at seminars for employers, human resource professionals and community
organizations. She is conversant in Spanish.
